翟永明, 生于四川，毕业于成都电子科技大学。1981 年开始发表诗歌, 其完成于1984年并于一年后发表的《女人》组诗被称誉为中国女性诗歌的开山之作和试金石。1986年辞去工作，1990-1991年在美国生活，1992 年返回成都，1998 年开“白夜酒吧”。其代表作包括《女人》、《称之为一切》、《静安庄》。
Zhai Yongming was born in Sichuan and graduated from Chengdu Telecommunication Engineering College. She began publishing poems in 1981. The poem-series “Woman,” which was completed in 1984 and came out one year after, has been acclaimed as the ground-breaking work and touchstone of “women’s poetry” in China. She quit her job in 1986, lived in the US from 1990-1991, and returned to Chengdu in 1992. She opened a bar called White Night in 1998. Among her best known works are “Woman,” “Call It Everything,” and “Jing’an Village.”
